- Over 18 million Americans are infected each year with a sexually transmitted disease
- 850,000 to 950,000 Americans are living with HIV, with one-third of them unaware that they are even infected
- 1 in 4 sexually active people are estimated to have contracted an STD by the age of 24
- The first visit is the initial visit where you will fill out the necessary background information and paper work that is needed before the testing takes place. This visit is done by appointment. Please call 334-502-7000 to make an appointment today.
- The second visit will consist of a complete, confidential social and medical history and a pelvic exam performed by a physician or nurse practitioner. At this time, appropriate specimens will be obtained to test for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, HIV, and Trichomonas. You will also be examined for signs and symptoms of herpes and genital warts. Educational counseling will also be reinforced at this time.
- Your third visit will be scheduled to receive the results of the lab tests. Results must be given in person, not over the phone. This appointment will be scheduled at your second visit.
