Gestational Age

Ultrasound is the most accurate way to determine how far along you are. This information is especially important if you’re considering abortion — the FDA approves medication abortion only through 10 weeks of pregnancy.

Location

An ultrasound confirms that the pregnancy is located in your uterus. If a pregnancy develops outside the uterus (an ectopic pregnancy), it can be dangerous and requires immediate medical attention.
